‘There is a space between stimulus and reaction. Our freedom lies in this space.’

based on Viktor Frankl

Professional career

After studying clinical psychology and neuropsychology, I worked as a research assistant in the field of affective disorders and as a ward psychologist at the university hospitals in Berlin and Dresden, where I completed my doctorate on the subject of bipolar disorder.

After training as a psychological psychotherapist in behavioural therapy, I worked for many years as a psychotherapist in a specialist clinic for addictive disorders. In addition to addiction treatment, my focus was on the treatment of borderline patients, chemsex addiction and many other comorbid disorders. During this time, I was able to learn from many experienced therapists and was influenced by their humanistic and value-orientated therapy concept, which I still value and practice today. This is also where my enthusiasm and deep conviction for the method of group therapy arose.

I have been working in my own practice since 2017. I have continuously developed my therapeutic work and trained in various therapeutic approaches. These include Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Schema Therapy, Systemic Sex Therapy and, of course, group therapy.
